Motivated Roles has 5 different Orientations--Perspective, Harmony, Structure, Social Processing, and Threat

Motivated Roles Inventory

The Motivated Roles Inventory is a motivation inventory that helps to BUILD BETTER TEAMS

Motivated Role Theory measures differences in a person's preference, aptitude, and/or ability for certain roles with groups.

Orientations & Roles

Motivation is complex and multi-dimensional.
Motivated Roles Theory posits that this multi-dimensionality has 5 different Orientations, with each Orientation having two opposing Roles.  This leaves 10 Roles that everyone plays within groups (and even as individuals).

Positivity

This model of motivation approaches all motivation dimensions as being positive to the individual and the group.

SuperOrganism

The concept of the superorganism is important to this model and to groups of people, who have needed to work as a single organism to survive.

Evolutionary

Evolutionary adaptations and pressures have had an effect on motivation and the development of motivation.

Personality

Motivation and the Motivated Roles Theory have a relationship to Personality.

Motivated Roles is based in Evolutionary, Personality and Positive Psychology

Principles of Motivated Roles

Along with Motivated Roles Theory being  complex and multidimensional, the theory is also based in other Principles.
